Thank you for coming to our first ever Spring Dance Concert, ((echo/pulse)).  Tonight we celebrate the most human of experiences, being in community through embodiment. Dancing together at rituals, like weddings and quinceaneras or dancing as a family while making dinner or cleaning house, is essential and makes life beautiful. However, it is a brave act to take your dancing onto the stage, to share our most authentic selves and our stories told through our bodies. Onstage, we have people who have spent years honing the craft of performance. We also have students who are dancing on stage for the first time as part of their experience here at CI. We celebrate them all. The role of the audience is not a passive one, but integral to the sharing of our stories. If you feel called to clap your hands, stomp your feet, or use your voice- please join us in the visceral experience of exchanging energy. Enjoy the show.
